SSAIDP is a national learning programme for those working, or aspiring to work, in Rape and Serious Sexual Offences (RASSO) investigations, subject to the pre-requisite requirements under clause 25. The learning programme is also aimed at supervisors who manage and support RASSO investigations and managers who have tactical and strategic leadership in the area of sexual assault investigation.
The overall purpose of SSAIDP is to equip investigators with the knowledge, attitude and skills to conduct professional, objective and procedurally just RASSO investigations. The programme will enable learners to apply the National Operating Model (NOM) throughout the RASSO investigative process, and take a suspect focused, victim centred, and context led approach to RASSO investigations.
