The Moodle Learning Management System (LMS) has been introduced to Humberside Police at moodle.hplearn.co.uk. Moodle is a powerful platform that facilitates online learning and training. Here are some key points about this implementation:

  1. Purpose:

    • Training and Education: Moodle serves as a central hub for delivering training and educational content to Humberside Police personnel.
    • Efficient Learning: Officers can access courses, resources, and assessments conveniently, enhancing their professional development.
  2. Features:

    • Course Categories: Moodle organizes content into categories, making it easy to navigate. Categories could include topics like law enforcement procedures, community policing, and technology systems.
    • Interactive Modules: Officers can engage with multimedia content, quizzes, discussion forums, and assignments.
    • Progress Tracking: Moodle tracks individual progress, completion rates, and performance.
  3. Benefits:

    • Flexibility: Officers can learn at their own pace, anytime and anywhere.
    • Consistency: Standardized training materials ensure consistent knowledge across the force.
    • Resource Sharing: Moodle allows sharing of best practices, case studies, and relevant documents.
  4. Support and Access:

    • User Accounts: Officers will likely have individual accounts managed by the Moodle Admin.
    • Technical Compatibility: Moodle is compatible with modern browsers like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari.
Watch out for for further information as the testing phase continues.

moodle.hplearn Updates:

After the reconfiguration of some internal settings on our Moodle implementation, we are now able to upload our own training packages and materials to our LMS. All these packages and materials have been published as SCORM compliant. This means that quick, transparent and data rich reports on all packages can now be created at the touch of a button.
